I’m Dave, and I believe in a standard of work built on precision, passion, and a decade of hands-on experience in the automotive paint industry. From Classic Cars to the JLR Factory Floor.
I’ve been around cars since I was a kid washing motors behind my parents’ pub. That early obsession with a flawless finish never left, leading me to own and care for classics like the Mk1 XR2 and 205 GTI. Before launching Dave Vehicle Valeting Specialist, I spent 10 years in the Jaguar Land Rover paint-shop. I worked as a painter, then moved into spot repair and final quality inspection on the buy-off line.
That background means I approach your car with the precision and standards you’d expect on the factory floor. My eye is trained to spot repainted panels and hidden defects at a glance, ensuring that the work I do isn't just superficial, it's fundamentally correct.
Our Detailing Philosophy: No Shortcuts.
The detailing market is full of quick fixes. My approach is different. I believe that ceramic coatings only perform when the paint underneath is corrected and properly prepped. That’s why I strongly recommend machine polishing before any coating application. Even on brand-new cars, a light gloss enhancement is crucial for the coating to bond properly and for the paint to show its true depth. I won’t "ceramic" over swirls, it’s a false economy and delivers an inferior result.
